Communication is the key to member engagement, satisfaction, and retention
Although enrollment in Medicare Advantage (MA) plans has more than doubled in the past decade, health plans have been able to consistently maintain high levels of overall member satisfaction, according to the J.D. Power 2019 Medicare Advantage Study.
This survey indicates members are pleased with most aspects of their plans with two notable exceptions: cost and communications. While the former is a complex problem to solve, the latter can be addressed with a well-devised, outreach strategy that includes innovative tools to meet members’ expectations.
